These chocolate banana sandwiches are a great sweet treat
when you don’t have any prepared desserts on hand. It’s simple, quick, and very
satisfying. Be creative and add your own toppings and sweet sauce. The
possibilities could be endless!
Chocolate Sauce.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup agave nectar or maple syrup Grade B (or mix half and
half)
1/2 – 1 T hemp oil or EVOO
few drops chocolate flavored SweetLeaf liquid stevia
dash pink Himalayan salt
Preparation:
Combine cacao powder, salt and agave nectar in a bowl and
whisk briskly until completely mixed. Slowly add the oil to create the desired
sauce thickness. Adjust sweetness by adding the chocolate flavored stevia. Set
aside. (Leftover sauce can be stored in an airtight glass jar in the cupboard
for several weeks. Refrigeration is recommended if liquid stevia is used).
Chocolate Banana Sandwiches.
Ingredients:
1 medium to large banana (peeled)
1 Cacao-Carob Super-Charged Cookie Ball (or
any favorite raw cookie)
1/4 cup Chocolate Sauce
Toppings.
1-2 T crushed sliced almonds
1 T raw cacao nibs
dash ground cinnamon
1-2 T vegan carob chips (optional)
Preparation:
Slice banana into equal sized rounds, approximately 10
slices. Slice a super cacao ball into 5 equally-sized pieces. Spoon some
chocolate sauce on one side of each banana slice. Top with one piece of the cacao
ball. Top half the slices with the other half of banana slices. Pour more
chocolate syrup over, and garnish with toppings.
