As I stated in my previous post I have been drinking mostly
smoothies on a daily basis. I have been experimenting with all kinds of
combinations and flavors. Some of these smoothie creations are so good,
energizing, and refreshing – I just had to share the recipe! I had a papaya and didn't know how I wanted to use it. Papayas are a rich source of antioxidant
nutrients such as vitamin C. It is also a great sour of fiber, potassium and
magnesium. The nutrients within the papaya help promote a healthy
cardiovascular system and provide protection against colon cancer. Papaya
basically combines well with all kinds of fruit, so I wanted to make a unique
smoothie with it. I definitely hit the jackpot with this recipe. The
combination of cherries with papaya and cacao is so super good, it was amazing!
I think you will enjoy it as much as I did. At least I hope so. Here’s the
recipe:
Ingredients:
¼ cup almonds
2 dates
1 T vanilla extract
1 cup coconut water
1 T hemp protein
1 medium sized papaya (about 2-3 cups)
1 cup dark cherries
1 ½ -2 medium sized bananas
2 T cacao nibs
pinch pink Himalayan salt
1 T coconut oil
few drops chocolate flavored SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia
Preparation:
Combine the almonds, dates, vanilla, hemp protein and
coconut water into a high-speed blender and mix until well smooth. Add the
remaining ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy. To chill add ice to
the blender and mix again until well blended.
