I
actually got the idea for this drink a few years back from a recipe I found
through the
Sunny Raw Kitchen site. The recipe was called “Best Coffee Ever”. It
was very good, but a little too thick, and strong. So, I made quite a few
changes. After several trials and errors I finally came up with my own
rendition of this mocha iced treat. I find it truly delicious! I hope you do too.
Ingredients:
1
Scoop, Raw Cacao Powder
1
tablespoon Raw Carob Powder
1
tablespoon Maca Powder
1
tablespoon Lucuma Powder
3
Capsules, Fo-Ti (Ho Shou Wu), emptied
1
tablespoon Yacon (like syrup)
1½
teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1
Squirt, Agave (generous)
6
drop SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia – Chocolate Flavor
dash
Cinnamon
2
cup Nut Milk
1
Handful, Macadamia Nuts
4
Ice cubes, or more
dash
Nutmeg
Note:
I used Macadamia/Almond), Use more or less depending upon consistency desired. I
also recommend you use “heaping” scoops of the raw cacao powder, and heaping
tablespoons of the raw carob. It’s okay to use a little more of both then not.
Preparation:
Place
all ingredients into a blender (except the ice). Blend on high till well mixed,
then add ice. Blend again on high until smooth and frothy. Pour into your
favorite glass and add a sprig of mint, or you can add raw chocolate sauce.
It’s very yummy and very satisfying…and it makes you feel real good!
